      A case of existing buildings

How to get building data and not die trying

38.2% of construction firms cite “lack of staff to support the technology” as a primary limiting factor to adopting new technology. And this is not only in construction - people resist to change which is a normal reaction. Usually, it happens because a lot of processes are broken - it is very easy to move pieces on the slide, while in reality it can be immensely complex. Therefore we need to use tricks and introduce it gradually.

      BIM in construction

BIM process in construction has already proved to be a game changer, but the problem arises - what to do with existing objects? There are enormous amount of buildings already there, but they don't have any information. And they are full or surprises:

And some things can lead to tragedies:

Technology can help in automatically detecting issues beforehand but how to scale it to existing processes?

      Enter Bitskout!

This is precisely where Bitskout can help you. Our SaaS platform allows enterprise and project managers introduce one small step into their process (inside their project management tool like Asana or Monday.com and etc.) - the validation of results.

Once a task finished, the contractor should record the results using his mobile phone - a video or a photo. And then once she closes the task (in Asana, Monday.com or other PM system), Bitskout triggers the validation flow that you can configure - the content is checked against a machine learning algorithm that detects if the work was done or what is the quality, and then if all is fine, the task is validated. If something is wrong, Bitskout can trigger human in the loop and do extra check. If all good, then the task is validated, new data is saved and, optionally, the payment or the reward can be triggered or points are accumulated in the contractor's Bitskout wallet.

      One small step

And now we have new data which Bitskout is using to provide lots of value - from detecting objects to performance reporting.

And so it is - adding one small step to the project management can lead to giant leap for the whole organisation.
