If you google motivation at work, then you will find scary numbers - only 17% of employees are engaged at work. Obviously, companies like Apple, Tesla, Google, etc. don't have this problem. But they represent less 1% of total workforce. So what about the rest?
And this is an issue - the motivation and engagement can make a huge difference. In my personal opinion - we should not worry about robots, they will never be so productive as highly engaged people: the machine cannot be passionate about something, it can only be effective going A to B. And if you are passionate, you can turn mountains. And leaders need this motivational boost to drive through accelerating competing landscape as the gravitational pull towards irrelevance is growing every day.
