What is a campaign?

It has a goal, a reward and a validation method

· CEO,bitskout campaign,image collection,machine learning,explanation

Bitskout campaign (or a job, a task or a target) is a combination of a goal, a reward and a validation method. For example, collecting images to train proprietary image recognition algorithm - you set a goal (collecting images), a reward per submission and a validation method for submissions. And after that the campaign can be published and selected users with Bitskout mobile app can enrol and collect images.

Goal

A goal is what you want to collect - it should be expressed in digital form (a file, an image, a survey form filled digitally, a video, etc.). There are various types of campaign embedded into Bitskout and we are adding more variations.

Reward

A reward can be of two types: a compensation for each approved submission or static prizes when certain condition is achieved. It can be expressed in your existing enterprise point system (like Globoforce or similar), internal tokens or a currency. When assigning a reward, it is important to take into account extra work required to produce the submission.

Validation

A validation step can be of three types: no validation, manual validation and automated validation. Manual validation means that a person should check the submission and approve it (which can also be a separate campaign). Automated validation means that there is an algorithm (machine learning or other function) that will approve the submission.

Below you will find an overview how a campaign is created.
